RAIN HEAD - These large-diameter fixtures offer a good
drenching that's very different from that of the typical single spray head.
Style options are expanding and include period models like this 12-inch-diameter
Edwardian-style unit.
WATERFALL - These units, often used with shower jets and
heads, provide a hydro-massage by pumping up to 80 gallons of re-circulated
water per minute. They're best suited to new construction to configure water
heaters, supply lines, and drainage.
MULTI-FITTING - At the highest end of the shower fixture
spectrum are multiple-head systems. They deliver a consistent, high water flow
to support the simultaneous use of body sprays, handshowers, and showerheads
while maintaining a preset water temperature. Each fitting (outlet) offers
several different spray patterns.
ADJUSTABLE-HEIGHT - The trend in shower fittings is
customization, especially in a shared bath. Today, variable-height showerheads
are common and can be enhanced by a series of adaptable body sprays.
